Consent to Processing of Health Data
Reference translation. The Korean version of this document is the
authoritative text. If the two differ in meaning, the Korean version prevails.
1. Why this consent is separate
The Personal Information Protection Act of the Republic of Korea classifies
health-related information as sensitive data and requires consent that is
separate from consent for other personal data. The information below, which
Pilltree handles, falls into that category.
2. Items processed
- The names of the medications you register, together with the amount per
dose, the number of doses per day, and the duration
- Check-in records (when the confirmation button was pressed)
- Medication schedules and their history
3. Purposes of use
- To send a reminder at the scheduled time
- To share check-in status with family
- To show your medication history in a calendar
Pilltree makes no medical judgment from this information. It does not
determine or advise on efficacy, the safety of taking medications together, or
whether something is a side effect, and it does not produce any wording that
does so.
4. Retention period
Until account deletion. Where several family members care for the same person,
records are kept until all of them have deleted their accounts.
5. Right to refuse
You may refuse. However, **without this consent there is nothing Pilltree can
do** — it cannot register a medication, send a reminder, or keep a record.
